{"id":2705,"date":"2024-01-05T12:04:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T11:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focolares.es\/?p=2705"},"modified":"2025-03-02T19:10:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-02T18:10:24","slug":"jean-michel-merlin-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focolares.es\/en\/caso-jean-michel-merlin\/","title":{"rendered":"Jean-Michel Merlin Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Following the complaint of sexual abuse committed by the former focolarino\u00a0<strong>Jean-Michel Merlin<\/strong>\u00a0in the Focolare Movement in France, on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focolari.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/2024-01-02-appel-temoins.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nanterre Police Prefecture<\/a>\u00a0(France) published an appeal addressed to &quot;anyone who can provide relevant information for the investigation or who wishes to report incidents of which they may have been a victim.&quot;<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Jean-Michel Merlin \u2013the document explains\u2013 was accused of sexual abuse of minors and adults committed for years within the&nbsp;<em>Focolare<\/em>Many of the victims have come forward and reported the acts committed against them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Focolare<\/em>&nbsp;express their full availability to facilitate the work of the judicial authorities and to make this appeal known.
