The 2025 Report on activities for the Protection of the Person and data relating to cases of abuse that occurred in the Focolare Movement is now available.

The steps taken in this last year 2025 are important for the Focolare Movement as they have allowed us to organize and verify our commitment to the protection of the person, with special attention to children and adults in vulnerable situations.

Approval of the document Policy for the Protection of Persons in the Focolare Movement
This document It came into force on January 1, 2026. It includes a whole series of practices and protocols in the care and support of people who have suffered abuse.

Creation of the Office for the Protection of the Person
This entity is created to coordinate the protection and supervision activities of ongoing processes, as well as to support territorial officials.

Actions during the biennium 2024-2025
During these years, coordination actions have been carried out with different organizations, such as the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. (CPPM), from which recommendations have emerged, already partially completed.

All this work has highlighted some important points that we need to keep emphasizing: the continuity of training, the intercultural adaptation of materials, and the improvement of communication flows.

The Focolare Movement expresses its decision to continue along the path of prevention, shared responsibility and listening to people who have suffered abuse, with the conviction that protection is an integral part of the Movement's mission and a service to the common good.
