Margaret Karram among the new members of the Dicastery

Pope Francis has appointed ad quinquennium Eleven new members of the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life, including Margaret Karram, President of the Society of Mary (Focolare Movement). With her, others will represent and enrich the universal face of the Church, alongside those already in that position. They are men and women, single and married, committed to various fields of activity and from the most diverse parts of the world.  Monsignor Josep Ángel Saiz Meneses – Archbishop of Seville; Reverend Andrea D'Auria, FSCB – Director of the International Center for Communion and Liberation; Reverend Luis Felipe Navarro Marfá – Rector of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome; Messrs. Benoît and Véronique Rabourdin – International managers of  Love and Truth of the  Emmanuel Community; the  Messrs. Joseph Teyu Chou and Clare Jiayann Yeh – respectively teacher at the Department of Public Finance of the National Chengchi University from Taipei (Taiwan) and Founder and Director of the Marriage and Family Pastoral Center of the Chinese Regional Bishops' Conference; Professor Ana María Celis Brunet – President of the National Council for the Prevention of Abuse and Support for Victims of the Episcopal Conference of Chile; the Professor Maria Luisa Di Pietro – Director of the Center for Research and Studies on Procreative Health at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome; Professor Carmen Peña García – Professor of Marital Law at the Faculty of Canon Law of the Pontifical University of Comillas, Madrid.

The new Members, whose appointment has been published on November 25, 2023 in the Bulletin of the Holy See Press Office, are added to those who had been previously appointed and to all those who are still in office, whose updated names can be consulted on the page of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, in the sector Members and Consultants.
