United World Week

A global laboratory and exhibition of stories, actions, and initiatives that contribute to making brotherhood, unity, and peace a reality among people and nations around the world.

Young people, adults, children, teenagers. Teachers, professionals, influencers, workers. Different people working together with the sole purpose of goal of creating a more supportive, more inclusive, more united worldIt is the image of this diverse "people" walking together that best represents the leaven for the United World Week (UMW) 2024.

This year's motto is «Embrace Humanity, Spark Change» (Embrace Humanity, Unleash Change), which is a source of inspiration for many initiatives already underway in cities around the world: from caring for the poorest to the most excluded, environmental protection, awareness raising, and peace education. All to show the world that, despite the wars and enormous challenges we face today, there are many fragments of peace.

Many cities around the world will be involved. A true laboratory that will take advantage of every little and great opportunity to shout the desire for peace and brotherhood.

Specifically, for SMU 2024 the international proposals are:

• May 1: SMU opening event streamed on streaming from Loppiano (Italy), from 1 to 2 p.m., with translation into five languages.
• May 4: Peace Got Talent, at 2 p.m.
• May 5: Run4Unity carried out locally together with other organizations and entities also involved in this project.

In addition to these international events, there are planned local events.
